Robert-Jan van Ogtrop

Robert-Jan van Ogtrop is a Dutch entrepreneur, investor, and sustainability advocate dedicated to advancing circular economy principles and environmental conservation. With background spanning corporate leadership, impact investing, and non-profit work, he is a leading figure in the global movement toward sustainable business practices.

Robert-Jan serves as Chairman of ABCapital. He began his career in the spirits industry, holding various positions at Bols before becoming CEO of Bols Royal Distilleries. After its acquisition by CVC Capital, he joined the private equity firm as an industry partner. In 2011, he founded Circle Economy, an Amsterdam-based impact organization that helps businesses, cities, and nations transition to a circular economy. As founder and Chairman, he has been instrumental in promoting circular economy principles and developing practical solutions for businesses and governments.
